This meet is looking to be another Retro LAN with another go at uT... With several of our members back from their adventures in Belgium at FOSDEM, we should have an even greater experience for all. I am trying to get another talk organized for the 2nd meet of March, so bear with me... *Note: Please, if you have a spare ethernet cable or 4-bar laying about, please bring it along... Scotlug Student Meet 2010-02-25 |

GeekSoc is getting together with the Scottish Linux Users Group (Scotlug) to give a Student meet at the end of this month. The goal is to give an overview of the Open Source world and Linux through a series of talks on the night. After the talk, we'll head over to the Counting House for a drink and some chat. Talks (so far): - The Difference between Free Software and Free Beer
- How to choose a Linux Distrobution
- The Google Summer of Code
- Linux in Strathclyde Uni (given by our own Kenny!)

Meeting - February 4th 2010 |

The first meet of the new Year! For this meet, we're going retro! Grab a machine and bring it along (not too old! it needs a network card!) for some good 'ol fragging. We're looking at playing some Legacy Doom and Unreal Tournament. We look forward to seeing you there, all are welcome. |
